Events Manager
tarte cosmetics is seeking an Events Manager to join the dynamic tarte team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing & planning all PR & marketing events. This role will work cross functionally with PR, influencer, marketing & creative teams to coordinate key activations. Candidates must have experience in large & small scale event planning, & possess the ability to prioritize & thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This position is required to be in our NYC office Mon – Thur (4 days/week).
Responsibilities:
- Event Planning: Serve as main point of contact on-site for all events; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, plan, and execute a wide range of events, including product launches and brand activations. Responsible for all event planning logistics including but not limited to coordinating travel, venues, sourcing vendors, shipping products, on-site problem-solving, etc.
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end event project management, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met. Coordinate logistics, vendors, and resources effectively
- Vendor Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with event vendors and partners to secure the best services and pricing. Negotiate contracts & pricing as needed
- Manage creative execution of events including creation of branded collateral, décor & on-site setup
- Brainstorm & source creative activations, vendors & activities for events
- Seek out & facilitate collaboration with like-minded brands for event collaboration & gifting opportunities
- Work cross-functionally to coordinate guest lists & invitations
- Management: Manage 1-2 interns per semester
- Support HR & other cross-functional departments as needed for internal/corporate events
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant event planning/management experience, ideally with a background in agency, wedding, or event planning
- Strong project management skills, including budget management & timeline adherence
- Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills
- Meticulous attention to every detail, from event design and decor to guest experience, ensuring flawless execution
- Juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, adapting seamlessly to changing circumstances and priorities
- Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, delivering high-quality events on time and within budget
- Be adaptable and resourceful, finding creative solutions to unexpected challenges that may arise during events
- Advanced proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently & take initiative to problem solve
