We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Nutrition Manager to lead and coordinate all clinical nutrition programs across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty care settings. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing, large-scale hospital system that includes a Level I Trauma Center, a dedicated Pediatric Hospital, a newly expanded Level IV NICU, and a state-of-the-art Formula Room. You will oversee a team of 13 inpatient staff and 2 outpatient Hybrid RDs, managing operations across two facilities located approximately 7 miles apart.
This role reports to one senior leader and manages frontline clinical nutrition team members — including Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs) — with no intermediate supervisory layer.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead daily operations including morning huddles, workload balancing, and check-ins with care team leaders and physicians
- Coach, evaluate, and develop a team of 13 inpatient RDs/DTRs and 2 outpatient Hybrid RDs
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and provide escalation support for high-acuity or complex cases
Clinical Nutrition Program Management
- Oversee nutrition screening, assessment, monitoring, and education in alignment with system-wide policies and regulatory requirements
- Develop and audit nutrition care plans and standards across all age groups and care types
Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Budget Management
- Serve as liaison between clinical care teams, food service, procurement, and supplement manufacturers
- Participate in or lead facility-level interdisciplinary teams and partner with medical staff and external agencies
- Monitor the clinical nutrition budget and promote efficient use of departmental resources
A Day in the Life
- Balance team workload and lead morning huddle
- Round on complex cases and address escalations
- Attend interdisciplinary meetings and complete administrative tasks
- Hold 1:1 staff meetings in the afternoon

Preferred Qualifications
- CNSC credential
- Prior clinical nutrition leadership experience
- Oncology and outpatient nutrition experience
- Level I Trauma Center background — a strong plus
- Ability to manage staff across multiple facilities
Schedule Details
- Schedule Type: Self-managed
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Travel: Occasional travel between two facilities required
