Type of Position: Full-time Salaried, Exempt

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00, 40 hours per week

Pay Range:  $55,113-$71,677 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Manage the Digital Accessibility services department to ensure equitable Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) access for all audiences with disabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • First-level leadership.
  • Coordinates and leads daily team activities.
  • May spend a portion of time performing the work of those they supervise.
  • Assists with management decisions and activities.
  • Working knowledge of team function within the organization.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise a team of specialists using technology to produce alternative formats of inaccessible instructional materials and develop the processes and procedures for the Alternate Format Group within Access Services.
  • Manage and evaluate students' technology accommodations for equitable access to instructional materials.
  • Coordinate the implementation of digital accessibility systems and policies and promote equitable access to ICT and accommodations using assistive technology. 
  • Identify accessibility barriers and work with various stakeholders to develop and incorporate universal design solutions to minimize/eliminate barriers.
  • Provide primary technical support to faculty, staff, and students in the use and functionality of assistive technology hardware and software. 
  • Collaborate with Information Services and Procurement to develop and conduct accessibility and usability audits of ICT assets, platforms, and services used campus-wide. 
  • Develop and present enterprise-level training to ensure the creation of inclusive digital content, including web content, instructional materials, and other digital media used in both academic and work environments.
