The Administrative Assistant in the Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) is responsible for providing administrative, operational and programmatic support services to CME and all educational programs. The CME Office produces live, virtual and enduring educational activities to support the life-long learning of physicians, healthcare professionals and those in allied health careers. The Assistant will report directly to the Director of the CME.
- Serves as an intermediary between supervisor and other departmental staff by transmitting written and oral requests, messages and instructions.
- Support Coordinators with development of live activities, i.e. faculty letters, exhibitors, etc.
- Assist in correspondence with Course Directors and related staff in regard to activity planning and fulfillment
- Support Coordinators with preparation work for live activities i.e. badges, course materials, etc.
- Prepare reports on participant evaluation for review of data
- On-site management work at all live activities, required to work some weekends and some evenings
- Support CME Office staff to include answering phones, marketing efforts and all aspects of execution of live activities
- Program file review for compliance of Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
- Education (ACCME) standards
- Working with Director of CME as needed on preparation of ACCME materials, including
- data tracking and reaccreditation materials
- Work with Director of CME on grant development, submission and tracking
- Perform other duties as necessary
- Associates Degree preferred and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in related roles
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate with a wide array of stakeholders
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet deadlines with limited supervision
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $21.25 - $36.37 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
