Job Description
The Senior Director, Oncology Marketing Strategy and Operations will be a key leader in the marketing organization who leads the development of the Oncology yearly commercial business plan, long range planning and will help support the Product Team with lifecycle development. This individual’s team will also be responsible for Advisory Boards, Opinion Leader Planning, Competitive Intelligence, Customer Experience, and Key Accounts marketing support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the Guardant Oncology portfolio strategy
- Bring strong customer insights and clinical knowledge to the Guardant Health product development and med affairs teams to support the lifecycle development of Guardant360, Guardant Response, Guardant Reveal and TissueNext
- Provide leadership across the marketing organization, including direct management of members of the Strategy Marketing team.
- Provide leadership for the opinion leadership efforts, advisory board execution, competitive intelligence, and overall team budget management.
- Collaborate with commercial partners such as the Key Customer Team, Reimbursement Teams, Commercial Analytics, and Promotions team to support their efforts with the Guardant Oncology portfolio.
- Partner effectively with key cross-functional partners, including Product, Compliance, Medical Affairs, and Finance.
- Organize and collaborate with the Global Commercial team, including Europe and Asia.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of Diagnostic or Pharmaceutical marketing experience necessary
- Oncology and specialty diagnostic experience is critical
- BS/BA Degree in related discipline. Advanced degree preferred (PhD, MBA)
- A track record of product launch and/or portfolio (multiple products) management experience
- Strong direct management and cross-functional team leadership experience
- Strong business acumen, analytics, and communication skills that translate to effective strategic plans and commercial alignment
- Experience with and exemplary understanding of all aspects of oncology diagnostic development and brand strategy
- Demonstrated track record of achievement and of influencing business outcomes across diverse functional boundaries with and without direct reporting relationships
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based environment and partner with external/internal stakeholders

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
