Business Development, Professional Display Partnerships

This is a significant hands-on role, with a clear focus on execution. The employee must:

• Develop business partnerships for Sony’s B2B display business in the Americas region with a particular focus on digital signage and other solutions for the professional AV market.

• Develop and manage project pipeline with relevant key stakeholders

• Structure complex, ambiguous and potentially charged operational / business issues and develop compelling, insightful recommendations

• Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly and problem solve effectively

• Oversee build of detailed data and financial models and other analyses to facilitate decision-making.

• Lead the creation of presentation materials (e.g. memos, decks)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE FOR DECISION MAKING

Accountabilities:

• Develop customer value proposition together with Sony teams in US & Japan

• Achieve goals agreed by senior management

• Manage business development in defined target markets

Responsibilities:

• Identify and build relationships with key partners

• Develop business for defined target markets

• Ensure close communication and VOC feedback into Sony development teams in US & Japan

• Support ideation of new proof of concepts to further strengthen Sony’s B2B business

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree from a nationally accredited college or university

• 8 - 10+ years of work experience in digital signage and pro AV or related industries

• Experience and / or interest in the media, digital and / or tech industries

• Strong written presentation skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Word)

• Expert analytical skills and data/financial modeling capabilities (e.g., Excel)

• Shown success in delivering results in a cross-functional team setting

• Strong work ethic and a highly detail focused mindset

• Proven track record in business development and deal-making for digital media, entertainment, Pro AV and/or relevant B2B industry an advantage.

• Proven ability and willingness to market professional products and solutions an advantage.

• High degree of market understanding and contacts is mandatory

• Capable to discuss with partners & customers on all levels up to C-level

• Experience in International working environment

• Relevant business development experience

• Fast thinking, self-confident and highly motivated senior manager with a restless and courageous “can do” and solution-oriented attitude

• Strong Management skills and proven ability to effectively operate and communicate in a demanding international environment

• Proven track record of solid business judgement, loyalty, integrity and respect of peers

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; strong cross functional influencing skills and teamwork.

• Willing to travel up to 60%

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $133,000 to $178,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
