Job Description
Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions® is seeking an energetic, team-oriented experienced scientist to join a new team in a hands-on, laboratory-based role supporting all stages of drug product development of antibodies, Fc-conjugates and other novel protein based molecules. The successful candidate will have experience working in an analytical laboratory setting and familiarity with chromatographic, electrophoretic, and spectroscopic techniques. The candidate must possess a strong ability to work independently and as a team member while supporting multiple projects. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary. The ideal candidate is efficient, curious, creative, enthusiastic, and looks for ways to improve processes and technology.
Responsibilities:
Technical (80%)
- Perform routine analytical tests such as size exclusion chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, pH, protein concentration, appearance testing, and subvisible particle analysis
- Buffer exchange and concentration of protein drug products
- Perform long term stability testing of drug products
- Maintain an electronic lab notebook and organize data across networked systems
Leadership (20%)
- Lead and manage up to nine team members
- Create and drive a positive, inclusive, success-oriented, high performing team
- Track and monitor team performance using internal and external metrics
- Implement employee development opportunities including career growth, technical growth, leadership growth, and facilitate peer-to-peer cross training
- Identify and resolve service and personnel problems in a timely manner
- Escalate service and personnel problems, as needed
- Timecare approvals, PTO approvals, and other related administrative tasks
- Collaborate with and report to area leadership
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- BS/MS in Biochemistry/Biology/Chemistry or related discipline with an experience in a GMP analytical lab.
- Prior experience with HPLC, UPLC, capillary electrophoresis systems, spectroscopy, flow imaging and protein concentration using SoloVPE is desirable.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical cGMP and Quality Assurance requirements, experience with aseptic technique a plus.
- Proficient computer skills including standard office software and analytical data systems
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Redmond, WA are encouraged to apply.
