Assistant Professor - Art

Ready to shape minds and sculptures? North Idaho College is looking for an Assistant Professor of Art to teach and mentor students in a dynamic, hands-on Fine Art program. This full-time faculty role blends studio practice with academic instruction and offers the opportunity to teach a wide range of courses—including sculpture, ceramics, 2D and 3D design, drawing, and art history.

We’re seeking an artist-educator with a Master of Fine Arts and a passion for guiding students through foundational techniques and contemporary creative exploration. You’ll lead classes, maintain an active sculpture studio, and contribute to curriculum development in a supportive, student-centered environment.

Starting pay range: $50,834 - $70,554

Work Site Location: Coeur d' Alene Campus
Work Schedule: This tenure track position has summers off, with pay and benefits spread over 12 months!
