Job Description:
The Financial Services office supports the mission of Baylor University by providing services to Baylor students, faculty, staff, and external constituencies which promote the long-term financial health of the university.

This position supports Baylor and the Controller’s Office by working to support tax compliance functions as detailed below. The ability to draft professional correspondence and possess a professional demeanor, both in dress and attitude, is a must.

•    Assist with the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns.
•    Organize and maintain tax records, workpapers, and documentation and ensure confidentiality of information
•    Support the team in responding to tax notices by gathering necessary information
•    Conduct basic tax research and summarize findings under supervision
•    Perform data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed
•    Assist with various projects, activities or tasks as needed  
•    Maintain regular and punctual attendance 
•    Ability to comply with University policies  

The pay for this position is $12 per hour, 10-20 hours per week.

Please note the Controller's Office observes a "Business Casual" dress policy.

The successful candidate will be an Accounting major, with prior tax course completion. A candidate working towards a Masters of Taxation degree is preferred. Some exposure to Ignite is preferred, but not required.
