The Service Sales Engineer will help implement and execute KPIs that drive front-end success in proposal on-time-delivery, capture rate and bookings at various customer touchpoints that impact the customer experience. They will deliver detailed services quotations and provide frequent updates of opportunities within the CRM (Salesforce) for all service product offerings. This position is integral to developing our understanding of customers and their assets. The individual will identify where our service products add value. They will drive bookings to plan within the acceptable margins tolerance and contribute to our voice of the customer scores by exceeding customer expectations. Delivers detailed request for quotes, services quotations and provides frequent updates of opportunities within the CRM for all service product offerings.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Drive exceptional brand and buying experiences for all customers across multiple service touchpoints - both digital and physical.
- Help implement and drive key performance indicators (KPI) that drive front-end success in proposal on time delivery (OTD), capture rate and bookings at various customer touchpoints that impact the customer experience.
- Build sustainable and mutually profitable relationships with customers.
- Proactively contact current and potential customers to educate them on our services, where our solutions add value and to develop new opportunities.
- Understands the importance of maintaining the customer relationship management (CRM) system, i.e., Salesforce, leveraging it to manage customer relationships and opportunities, including asset intelligence.
- Delivers detailed request for quotes (RFQ), services quotations and provides frequent updates of opportunities within the CRM for all service product offerings.
- Proactively manages their pipeline with the CRM and provides accurate bookings forecasts on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate customer visits to existing customers in coordination with the Regional Service Leader, Division Front-End Service Leader and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Accounts team.
- Provide the Service Project Managers with relevant asset and customer information for them to prepare commercial packages ahead of all field resource visits to site.
- Leverage the CRM, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other technologies to maximize the divisional capabilities and resolve customer issues.
- Attend commercial and training meetings to keep at the forefront of the Company’s latest service offerings and capabilities.
- Support follow-up and initial triage for customer satisfaction surveys.
- Actively support projects to simplify service processes and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Understands the importance of maintaining the CRM system, leveraging it to manage customer relationships and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher
- Five (5) years sales’ experience in a Technical Service/Parts environment
- A proven ability to consistently achieve performance targets.
- Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask and manage one’s time.
- Previous experience with computer applications such as MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Windows, and power point
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- The employee may be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
- Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
- Visual acuity – Normal requirements for reading written instructions and computer screens.
- Hearing ability – Normal requirements for understanding verbal instructions.
- Working conditions – The employee is subject to a normal office environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels and/or physical hazards when visiting the manufacturing floor.
- Capable of wearing appropriate related PPE for extended periods of time.
