Position Details

As an Account Relationship Manager, you’ll report to a District Sales Manager and be the primary liaison between Grainger and Government customer accounts located throughout the United States. You will implement the sales process by expanding customer relationships, probing to uncover needs and buying motives, identifying solutions, and looking for ways to add value resulting in profitable sales volume growth and increased share of wallet. Account portfolios are expected to exceed established sales goals within an assigned territory.

 

You Will:

  • Identify sales opportunities, negotiate to secure business, and sell the value of Grainger
  • Develop strategic account plans
  • Manage appropriate investments of time and resources
  • Review, understand and apply complex information
  • Understand complex customers with multiple decision makers and partners
  • Identify new contacts, develop customer relationships across all departments
  • Communicate our pricing offers, programs and broad offering of products and services
  • Grow market share and achieve financial plans

 

You Have:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of sales and business or similar work experience
  • Negotiation knowledge
  • Mindset that expresses growth
