Working as the Senior Engineering Engineer you will play a crucial role in leading our technical teams and driving them on developing and optimizing our cutting-edge products. Leveraging a diverse tech stack, including Javascript with React, Redux in the frontend and Java on EC2, Oracle DB, on the backend with hosting on AWS (utilizing DynamoDB, S3, ElasticSearch, SQS, Lambda, EC2)

You will ensure seamless functionality across all layers of our applications, from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems. You’ll be working as part of an agile team with other passionate, driven, and talented people, creating innovative solutions in the EdTech industry.

Key responsabilities

• Help your fellow engineers working on our cloud infrastructure and other components of our product to ensure code quality and robust architecture.
• Design, code and manage automated test scripts, continuous builds and deployment.
• Lead complex and sometimes high-risk projects, while also controlling the communication around them
• Engage with managers to support their priorities and allow them to focus on the highest priority tasks.
• Ship high-quality work following best practices, such as adequate testing, successful rollout, and consistent monitoring
• Propose short-term and long-term solutions for pain points in the system or product with clear deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: In Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of experience in developing highly responsive applications using Java stack
• At least 3 years of experience leading technical teams
• Expertise in Javascript, React.js and Redux on frontend and Java on EC2, Oracle DB, on the backend
• Experience in developing user interface components using React JS workflows such as Redux
• Understanding of cloud technologies (preferably AWS)
• Knowledge of design patterns
• Comfortable using agile methodologies
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git
