We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as a Senior Transportation Planner/Engineer (part-time) in Tampa, FL. In this position, you will provide transportation planning related services. We are a growing practice working on a diverse range of high-profile projects throughout Colorado and other states. We're looking for an individual to help deliver projects for local, regional, and key national clients.

The successful candidate will lead technical studies, manage projects and tasks, and contribute expertise in advanced transportation planning concepts and techniques to solve unconventional problems. Experience with traffic noise modeling software, air quality and contamination processes and procedures, knowledge of safety tools and procedures, and experience with multi-modal or transit studies is desirable.  The individual will coordinate with internal project staff and subconsultants, direct junior staff, coordinate with clients, and facilitate engagement with public and agency stakeholders.  The individual may also participate in proposals and business development.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Assists in the development and analysis of noise, air, and contamination efforts.

• Works on multi-disciplinary projects as a technical lead.

• Conducts analyses to determine impact of proposed project.

• Prepare project reports detailing study and analysis results.

• Assists with preparation of feasibility studies, public outreach, multi-mobility studies, and safety projects.

• Uses outcomes of traffic modeling software such as TNM and MOVES.

• Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

• Coordinates with clients and leads client meetings.

• Writes project proposal components, develops scopes of work, and compiles fee estimates.

What will you contribute?

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or Planning or related field.

• A minimum of nine years of relevant work experience.

• Have a Professional Registration in your field of practice, e.g., P.E. or AICP.

• Display strong technical writing and written communications skills.

• Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Be dynamic and passionate about the transportation planning field.

• Have an interest and appreciation of current transportation policy and the key factors influencing national and local authority clients as well as private sector considerations.

• Demonstrate a proven track record in applying a range of relevant analytical techniques to meet varying client / project requirements on a diverse range of projects.

• Have good organizational, communication, time, and budget management skills.
