About the role: 

We are looking for an inquisitive, data driven finance professional that wants to work with intelligent and engaging partners in an industry that is cutting edge and greatly improves people’s lives! 

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial support to the Vascular organization, primarily supporting a wide range of SG&A functions.  The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.  The position requires someone that can build strong relationships with business partners to optimize financial planning, analysis, and reporting.  This role with present and interface with finance leadership as well as have high visibility to Vascular franchise leadership.  This role with partner with their functions to drive key insights, avoid pitfalls, and advise on best practices.   

 

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Maple Grove office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.  

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Partner independently with business partners and functions  

  • Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended, and current business information 

  • Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports 

  • Prepare and distribute financial metric packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance 

  • Present to upper management & business partners and provide guidance on variances and trends 

  • Perform financial analysis and recommend alternative courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools and creative problem solving 

  • Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level 

  • Develop and utilize sound financial processes and maintain effective control environment 

  • Stay abreast of changing tools and technology to recommend functional improvements 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in financial analysis, planning, or business partnering roles. 

  • Proven track record with attention to detail and data quality 

  • Strong technical expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. 

  • Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders and translate complex financial data into actionable business insights. 

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA or CPA a plus
