Job Description

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support new products and projects in the HDD division.

• •Collaborates with Design Engineering on assembly DFA/FMEA/CTF and specification requirements for new product development. 
• •Develop and deploy assembly process with Automated and Manual Tooling to assemble HDA’s from new product launch through volume production that meet CTF, KPI, and ROI requirements. 
• •Requires tooling development skills:   Design (SolidWorks), manufacture, evaluate and qualify.
• •Perform engineering calculations: tolerance study, GD&T, FEA.
• •Develops PMP, Process Control, and OCAP.
• •Establish setup and calibration procedures for new assembly tooling and testers.
• •Tooling project lead and schedule owner.
• •Requires some periodic travel to factories and suppliers in Asia.   2 – 4 times / year.   2 weeks per visit.
• •Excellent communication and planning skills.
• •Good team member.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
