Financial Analyst

Description

 We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented and seasoned Financial Analyst to join our team. This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in Power BI reporting systems, experience with financial and cash analytics, forecasting, and budgeting, as well as consolidation of companies. The ideal candidate will also have a background in manufacturing with the ability to provide actionable insights to support business decision-making and strategic financial planning.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and performance reviews to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and accounting standards.
• Support the consolidation of financial data from multiple subsidiaries or business units.
• Lead in-depth financial and operational analysis to provide insights and actionable recommendations.
• Provide financial insights into production costs, labor efficiency, raw materials, and capital expenditures.
• Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for margin improvements within the manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate financial performance, identify areas of improvement, and support strategic initiatives to improve profitability.
• Develop comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to assist in liquidity management and financial planning.
• Analyze cash flow performance and provide insights into cash flow trends and identify areas to optimize cash management and working capital.
• Work closely with treasury and accounting teams to track cash positions and liquidity needs.
• Support the development of financial forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with business strategy and goals.
• Collaborate with departmental heads to gather inputs and ensure accurate forecasting across various business units.
• Provide actionable insights to management regarding future financial trends, performance expectations, and resource allocation.
• Design, develop, and maintain dynamic financial reports and dashboard using Power BI, Planful or other similar 3rd party software.
• Create and update KPIs, financial performance metrics, and visualizations to track business performance.
• Create Board of Directors, Lender, Management or externally focused presentations using Power Point, Beautiful AI, Pexels or other add-ons.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst with Power BI reporting system expertise.
• Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with consolidation of financial data and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing financial analysis, cost structures, and operational efficiency highly desired.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Planful, Powerpoint, Excel, and other 3rd party data analysis and reporting tools.
• Experience with cash flow analysis and cash management.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial sector.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and other financial software.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial regulatory requirements.
• Private equity experience is a plus.
• Creative Visual Mindset to help ‘sell’ financial reporting.
