The Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Clinic, located at 79 Retreat Ave on the 4th floor of the Brownstone Building, is a specialty ambulatory clinic that provides care to 95 CF patients virtually and in-person.  The clinic follows the guidelines of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) which states that each patient has 4 visits per year with a multidisciplinary team at an accredited center.  The clinic adheres to the 4 visits per year per patient as well as scheduling other visits as needed. 

 Job Summary:

 The medical assistant (MA) plays a vital role on the CF care team and is a key contact for the CF community.  The CF MA role requires someone who can work well independently and in a team atmosphere, has excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, is motivated, willing to learn, and seeks opportunities for improvement. 

 The MA is responsible for providing a variety of multi-skilled services combining their administrative and clinical knowledge.  Some of the administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  greeting, arriving, checking in/out the patient on clinic day, obtaining consents, scanning, proficient use of electronic medical records (EPIC) and CF dat
