Job Description
Skills:
Must be a student of Great Basin College
Must be enrolled in 6 credits and maintain a 2.0 GPA
Must qualify for Work Study or RSP through Student Financial Services
Interest in social media, marketing, storytelling, or digital production.
Comfortable appearing on camera and engaging in short-form video content
Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube
Willingness to learn simple photo/video editing tool
Creative mindset and interest in trends, storytelling, or digital communication.
Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate with teammates, and be dependable with assigned tasks
Primary Responsibilities – Social Media & Content Creation Support
Help brainstorm and create fun, engaging social media content for GBC
Appear on-camera for videos featuring campus activities and be comfortable engaging confidently on video
Assist with filming and simple video/photo editing as needed
Share ideas on trends, campus happenings, and ways to connect with students online
Support the Communications team with ongoing campaigns and content needs
Secondary Responsibilities – Office & Clerical Support
General clerical support for the Communications office
Answering phones, greeting guests, filing, and basic office organization
Assisting with printing projects and maintaining print-related supplies
Data entry and other duties as assigned
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
Salary:
$13.00 per hour
Hours:
Up to 19 hours per week with maximum of 79.5 hours per month.
