CD&D Lab Technician - Kennesaw, GA
Job purpose:
To carry out probiotic stability projects and enumerate finished format samples.
Main responsibilities:
- Carrying out probiotic application studies on food & beverages, dietary supplements, etc., producing shelf life samples, enumeration and data entry.
- Carrying out and schedule experimental development tasks, without supervision.
- Performing a critical analysis of the results, supported by computer tools and drawing up the conclusions of the study. Investigating improved application techniques to increase viability where required.
- When needed, training and supervising experimental execution of Laboratory Technicians.
- Writing and preparation of project reports, including sections on objectives, materials and methods, results, and conclusions of the study.
- Join customer meetings to present results.
- Supervising the correct operation of laboratory equipment, making quality controls and repairs with the technical services.
- Record keeping in laboratory notebook describing experimental protocol and results.
- Creation of CD&D customer samples and formulation prototypes in the development lab, when required.
- Supporting enumeration for Quality release, when required.
- Maintain safety standards and aseptic technique in labs and pilot areas.
- Maintain and stock lab equipment and consumables.
- Perform other duties assigned as needed.
- Bachelors degree in a Life Science Program such as Microbiology or Biochemistry
- Experience working in R&D, preferably with Probiotics
- (Languages, special computer skills etc.)
- Proficient language, reading and writing skills
- Organized
- Familiar with Excel and other Microsoft programs

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$49,000.00 - $91,000.00
