Context & Environment

Under the direction of the Cost Control Manager, the individual supports Cost Control for 2 Major E&P production assets.

  • Lead monthly cost control for two high value producing assets, delivering strategic financial insights to senior management.
  • Oversee the development and execution of annual budgets and forecasts for two major production projects with a combined $350M budget.
  • Manage all aspects of financial management, including budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, value of work done (VOWD), variance analysis, and monthly close processes.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison to the Operator, driving clear communication and alignment on financial matters.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including project management, VP-level asset managers, TEEPUSA financial reporting, and the Operator, to advance project objectives.
  • Develop and implement robust cost budgets, ensuring rigorous monitoring and optimization of financial performance.
  • Attend Operator technical meetings to assess operational deviations or work program changes and evaluate their budgetary impact.
  • Deliver comprehensive variance analysis for budgets and forecasts, enabling data-driven decision-making at the executive level.
  • Spearhead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly cost estimates, accruals, and monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
  • Collaborate strategically with Reporting, Property Accounting, and shared services teams to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Drive monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Champion project digitalization initiatives to deliver operational efficiencies, synergies, and process innovation.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and cost-related information.
  • Managing all aspects of TEEPUSA's General & Administrative Budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Perform all required financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.


Invoices/Commitments

  • Process and review invoices to ensure compliance with the commercial terms of contracts and correct coding of costs.
  • Support the Contracts & Procurement function by creating PRs and assisting in expediting PR/PO approval processes.

Other

  • Prepare accurate and timely trackers for Cash Calls, Joint Interest Billings, Working Capital for management review.
  • Ad Hoc requests.
