This position is located at our Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida. Successful candidates will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining world-class enterprise software and applications in support of World Equestrian Center’s leadership in equestrian sports and the hospitality industry. This position will be a key position, working with the software organization and business stakeholders to understand real-world business requirements, to design and develop innovative enterprise-grade solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement software features on multiple tech stacks, primarily ASP.NET/C# and WordPress/PHP.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and product teams to deliver high-impact features and improvements.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues across systems in alignment with best practices.
- Take ownership of the WordPress platform, ensuring performance, security, and compliance with accessibility and brand standards.
- Integrate third-party services and internal tools into WordPress to support analytics and engagement.
- Participate in on-call support rotations as needed to support production applications.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience working with .NET Core/C# and ASP.NET
- Experience working with and maintaining large-scale PHP and WordPress websites
- A mindset of ownership, autonomy, and accountability
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for learning and growth
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, independent, and able to interact with individuals from multiple disciplines
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with event-sourcing and/or vertical-slice architecture
- Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Enterprise Features
- Experience building front-end web applications with NextJS and/or React
- Experience with production Kubernetes (k8s) environments
- Contributions to open-source or technical communities
- Production experience with globally deployed and public-facing web applications
- Experience working in the hotels and hospitality industry
- Experience with equine sports (any discipline)
