The RISE Center is home to the Substance Use Resource Education program, the Collegiate Recovery Program, and UNT's Drug and Alcohol Education Taskforce. RISE offers a central location for students, staff, and faculty seeking information on substance use and recovery support.
The RISE Center offers alcohol and drug prevention education, stigma reducing programming, and recovery support services for students. We utilize peer educators and peer mentors to support students seeking information and resources.
Position Overview
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) and the SURE (Substance Use Resource and Education) program including student recruitment, admission, and case coordination. Establish and maintain relationships with on and off campus partners. Plan, coordinate, and implement programming and activities relevant to the mission of the program. Responsible for quality assurance and ensuring that program outcomes are met. Collect and compile data ensuring that program outcomes are met. Creation and dissemination of marketing materials and information. Recruit and supervise RISE Center Coordinator, student assistance and peer recovery supports specialists.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience.

Excellent oral and written communication Ability to respond to crisis situations swiftly, professionally, and accurately Knowledge of student affairs mission and ability to help position division to effectively support student success Public speaking ability
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Masters degree in rehabilitation counseling, health promotion, public health, counseling, social work, psychology or a closely related field with an emphasis or extensive coursework in addiction studies and/or substance use Three to five years of previous experience in substance use treatment (IOP, sober living setting) and/or substance use education (higher education, non-profit, community health) with adolescent and adult populations. Prior supervisory experience. Previous experience with grant writing and/or securing sponsored funding. Experience with a collegiate recovery community setting and/or substance use education. Record of successful program development aimed at securing sponsored grants/contracts.
