This role plays a critical part in leading cross-departmental efforts to ensure our cabin interiors deliver a world-class customer experience that is enjoyable and consistent

This role has broad exposure through collaboration with many stakeholder teams across the company on projects that impact every customer flying American
What you'll do
- Lead the strategy, product development and implementation of American’s customer experience in our cabin interiors, including seats, lighting, other cabin interior elements, and the overall look and feel of our cabins
- Lead a team of technical experts and project managers that lead and support various aspects of Americans aircraft delivery and cabin retrofit programs
- Collaborate closely with multiple stakeholder departments including Engineering, Tech Ops Procurement, Strategic Planning & Analysis, Fleet Planning, Finance, Network Planning, Inflight, Revenue Management, and the broader Commercial Organization
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of American’s aircraft delivery and retrofit programs, elevate risks where appropriate, and keep senior leadership apprised of our strategy and status
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Transportation, Operations, or equivalent experience/training
- 5 years related experience in aviation
Preferred qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Customer Experience, Customer Product Development, Procurement, Fleet Planning, Technical Operations, or a related field
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex relationships and to work collaboratively across stakeholders to drive optimal decisions and successful outcomes
- Excellent strategic thinking and strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated success communicating to senior leadership
- History of managing supplier relationships
- Ability to inspire and lead a team of technical experts
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects efficiently and effectively
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, and project management skills
- Superior skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
