Revenue Cycle System Analyst, Full Time

Description

Provides technical assistance to user departments and other I.S. departmental staff in evaluating, selecting, installing, and supporting automated information systems.

Develops, documents, and supports computer programs as necessary.  Assists in analyzing, specifying, reviewing, programming, and implementing a total hospital information system.

Has full access to patient health information.

Shift: M-F, and call rotation

Requirements

• Minimum Associate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Math.
  
• Prefer Bachelor’s degree. Minimum experience: five years with Associate, three years with Bachelor.
  
• Prefer recent experience in a hospital information systems department. Must have experience in evaluating, selecting, and installing automated information systems. Experience on IBM AS/400 required. 
  
• Experience with Window servers and UNIX desired.
  
• Formal training or direct experience with personal computer e-mail, spreadsheets, word processors, Internet, etc. required.
  
• Must be able to explain technical aspects of duties performed to supervisor and co-workers.
  
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. 
  
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  
• Nature of job requires that much of the work be done in user areas.  Requires extensive work on computers.
  
• Accurate eyesight and hearing required.  
  
• External and internal applicants, as well as position incumbents, must be able to perform the essential job specific functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined by the organization on a case by case basis.
  
• Normally work first shift or third shift.  May be required to work off shifts and weekends for implementations.
  
• Member of after-hours on-call team.
  
• Requires residence within 30 minutes of IMH.
