We are seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to join the Quantitative Biosciences department at our South San Francisco, CA site. In this role, you will launch an independent research project that leverages organotypic models to study cardiometabolic disease pathogenesis and therapeutic hypotheses, with a primary focus on vascular endothelial cell dysfunction. In collaboration with a highly networked interdisciplinary team, you will experiment with cutting-edge technologies (microfluidics, bioprinting, lab automation, etc.) to drive 3D in vitro/ex vivo cellular model development, probe novel disease mechanisms, and generate foundational knowledge in support of novel drug discovery efforts.
An ideal candidate should possess advanced cell biology and assay development skills, preferably with hands-on experience with various endothelial cell types or iPSC-derived cells for organoid generation or 3D model development. Successful candidates will be a self-starter who can bring critical thinking and creativity to solve complex scientific/technical challenges and positively contribute to a teamwork environment that is diverse and innovative. Our team values open communication, collaborative problem solving, and a collegial attitude.
We are a research-driven biopharmaceutical company. Our mission is built on the simple premise that if we “follow the science” that great medicines can make a significant impact to our world. We believe that a research-driven enterprise dedicated to world-class science can succeed by inventing medicine and vaccine innovations that make a difference for patients across the globe.
