Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a User Experience Designer to support our dynamic team in Arlington, VA, El Segundo, CA, Huntington Beach, CA, Huntsville, AL, St Charles, Il, or Titusville, FL!  In this position, you will develop and maintain software products for the next generation.

The Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) organization encompasses a diverse portfolio of mission-critical solutions that Boeing delivers to customers around the world. Our products advance our customers' abilities to protect, connect, and explore from seabed to space with integrated mission focused solutions.

The Digital Navigator Product Suite is an integrated, web based and real time Single Source of Truth platform. The platform is designed to support data driven decision making and cultural transformation by delivery of scalable AI/Data platforms and high value analytics products and services.

Position Responsibilities:

• Create effective, usable, and satisfying user experiences with information technology.
• Participate in user-centered design activities, including creating journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Participate in conducting user research through interviews, field studies and surveys.
• Assist in the definition of user requirements and usability goals.
• Support and aid in the creation of user interaction design alternatives and the building of prototypes
• Participate in conducting usability tests, heuristic evaluations, and other reviews to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of designs.
• Diagnoses simple usability issues and recommends changes.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to work 2-3 days a week onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3 years of experience in UX design
• Experience designing web apps, mobile apps, and desktop solutions.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience designing, developing and leading business solutions that impact a company across organizations
• Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions and  receive general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy of meeting objectives
• Ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:
