Director Warehouse Operations

Pilatus is hiring a Director Warehouse Operations to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of all warehouse functions, including inventory control, rotable pool management, shipping/receiving, and material flow for both new and repaired aerospace components. A successful individual in this role will ensure the warehouse supports business and customer requirements with exceptional accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Director also drives warehouse digitalization, lean process implementation, and 24/7 AOG support in collaboration with Customer Service functions. Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Operations

• Oversees the storage, movement, and control of all warehouse and rotable pool inventories
• Manages daily operations to ensure timely receipt, inspection, storage, picking, and shipment of aerospace materials
• Ensures accuracy and integrity of physical inventory through cycle counts
• Maintains safe and clean facilities aligned with lean 5S principles and health and safety regulations
• Ensures timely and cost-effective freight arrangements with logistics partners
• Acts as backup as needed for warehouse personnel

Compliance & Quality

• Enforces compliance with the Pilatus Repair Station Quality Assurance Manual, FAA, FOCA, and other applicable regulatory standards
• Ensures proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, including shelf-life monitoring and documentation
• Maintains warehouse readiness for customer audits, aviation authority inspections, and internal quality checks

AOG & Customer Support

• Coordinates 24/7 support for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) material requirements in collaboration with the Parts Sales Department
• Ensures seamless material availability to support internal aircraft completion teams and external customer delivery schedules

People & Performance Management

• Directly manages warehouse personnel, setting clear goals and performance expectations
• Conducts training and skills development to enhance operational flexibility and team capability
• Monitors team performance metrics and coaches individuals to meet operational KPIs and service-level commitments

Process Improvement & Digitalization

• Continuously reviews and improves warehousing procedures, layout, and inventory handling practices
• Supports implementation of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), barcode scanning, RFID, and digital dashboards to increase operational visibility
• Recommends and executes capital improvement projects, such as warehouse automation (e.g., VLMs) or infrastructure upgrades
• Tracks and reports monthly warehouse KPIs to company leadership

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

Required

• Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field (Bachelor’s is a plus)
• At least 10 years of warehouse/material handling experience, including 5 years in a leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse layout optimization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems

Preferred

• Experience with WMS implementation and warehouse automation technologies
• Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement experience
• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and aerospace regulatory requirements

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - 108,000 per year depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the app
