Position Summary:
The Director, Digital Supply Chain is a pivotal role within Methode’s Procurement team. The role reports into the VP, Materials Planning & Logistics, and will provide functional leadership in the standardization Methode’s data strategy, optimization of Methode’s current digital planning and analytics systems, and innovation in developing new digital solutions leveraging new software and AI capabilities. This role involves a combination of responsibilities including collaborating with key internal stakeholders and leadership to understand requirements and translate into actions required for Global Procurement & Supply Chain execution. Additionally, this role will act as the Functional lead business partner for all collaboration with our Information Technology team. This role will lead and oversee multiple projects that will involve process optimization, data integration, tool selection and optimization, business transformation, and training within our global operations.
The expected hiring range for this position is $145,000 to $185,000.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive supply chain technology strategy that optimizes cost, quality, and delivery performance across our global operations.
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing future-forward technologies that power material planning and fulfillment, including advanced analytics, AI/ML, and digital twin capabilities.
- Own the full lifecycle of IT investments, from governance and budgeting to Statement of Work, execution, and value realization
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior management, business partners, suppliers, and internal technology teams
- Work alongside our Supply Chain and Manufacturing business teams, delivering solutions to automate and streamline our processes to enable scalability in our rapidly growing business.
- Analyze complex business problems and identify ways to solve them with technology, focusing on strategic tools.
- Leverage your technical expertise and business acumen to define and prioritize requirements, manage backlog, and ensure delivery meets business objectives. You may be involved in design, development, test, and implementation.
- Communicate effectively and work cross-functionally in our matrixed environment to engage resources as needed to facilitate process changes and technology adoption.
- Champion of Digital Transformation, articulating the benefits of our Transformation Initiative and developing detailed business cases including resource estimation, cost analysis, and ROI calculations.
- As a technology leader, introduce new ideas around technology trends and continuous improvement capabilities to our supply chain clients.
- Lead program workshops and meetings as required
- Key leader and liaison between the business and IT by providing production support and implementing business process improvement through process definition, configuration of and enhancements in the company's core ERP application.
- Responsible for ensuring bug fixes to resolve open ERP SCM related issues as well as implementing future solutions for supply chain operations.
- Consult IT ERP Leader on ERP “best practices” process implementation and drive end-to-end process implementation or improvements initiatives (design, test & deploy).
- Establish governance and drives adherence to the Supply Chain Data strategy.
- Work with management and business users to identify report gaps, design report specifications, and test developed reports
- Be the ERP Workstream lead for: WIP/Repairs/Purchasing/Inventory/BOM/Order Management/WMS/Shipping/Pricing
- Promote user adoption by facilitating user acceptance testing and training
