Analytical Senior Scientist – Analytical Development (R&D)

The Analytical Senior Scientist supports analytical development activities for biopharmaceutical products in a GMP-regulated environment. The role involves developing, optimizing, transferring, and validating analytical methods to support R&D and manufacturing activities. You will define analytical strategies and sampling plans in collaboration with scientific, QC, and project teams. The position requires hands-on involvement in analytical studies, data analysis, and interpretation of results. You will prepare and/or review technical documentation including protocols, reports, and validation packages. Acting as a scientific reference, you will support investigations related to deviations, OOS/OOT, and audits. You will contribute to innovation projects and maintain scientific watch in analytical technologies, particularly in viral vector analytics.

Required Qualifications / Skills

• PhD, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in analytical development within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry, preferably in the viral vector field

• Strong hands-on expertise in analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, SEC-MALS, electrophoresis, PCR-based assays, ELISA, bioassays)

• Proven experience in analytical method development, qualification, and validation (ICH Q2)

• Solid knowledge of GMP and quality systems

• Ability to manage multiple R&D projects with autonomy, rigor, and strong analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact with internal teams and clients
