Sr. Associate, Strategy

The Corporate Strategy group engages on a targeted set of ultra-high impact issues that drive the direction and performance of the company. Projects focus primarily on formulating enduring and profitable growth and value enhancement strategies in partnership with the business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop logical and insightful frameworks and structures to solve challenging problems

• Communicate insights in a compelling manner to influence senior business leaders in the company

• Engage in a variety of challenges, from data-intensive customer segmentation to human-centered design strategy

• Work as integral members of small project teams, taking on company-defining strategic issues and directly advising the company’s CEO and senior executives

• Construct storylines and presentations to socialize strategies and build consensus for transformational change

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• At least two year experience in strategy consulting, business analysis, or combination

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to analyze and solve problems independently in a constantly changing environment

• Robust workstream management skills, including thoughtful attention to detail and skillful balancing of multiple priorities

• Fantastic interpersonal skills, with experience influencing decision-making outside your core team

• Demonstrably strong written and verbal communication skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
