Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Manufacturing Planners to support the 777-8F program located in Everett, WA. These individuals will serve as contributors to help support the implementation and sustainment of new and existing build plans that significantly impact the quality and cost performance of the program. This role will require individuals that are capable of adapting to a dynamic team with critical deliverables. They will need to have the ability to collaborate with others both at domestic US locations and at our global partner sites, while keeping a “think outside the box” mindset.  Join Boeing Production Engineering in building our next generation of amazing products!

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level and Senior Manufacturing Planners. We are looking for individuals with experience supporting Systems, Interiors, Airframe, Doors, and Landing Gears.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plans and leads department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Develops and plans manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
  • Prepares build analyses and cost estimate reports.
  • Leads integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Participates in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Develops complex tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
  • Manages tooling from initial design to end of use disposition.
  • Leads investigation and resolution of complex or systemic manufacturing related issues.
  • Leads teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts.
  • Supports enterprise level benchmarking to incorporate best practices.
  • Leads development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
  • Develops scheduling templates for use by others.
  • Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Develops and documents new job practices, techniques and standards.

Work Authorization:

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3 or more years experience in a manufacturing production environment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
  • Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).
