About the Job 

This opportunity is full-time and a benefits-eligible position.  

Shift: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm – 10-hour shift, full-time (Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday) 

  

Job Purpose and Overview 

Responsible for testing the finished product and recording the results of this testing.  Responsible for reporting all deviations to management which include any deviations from company standards or governmental regulations.  Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) must be followed at all times. 

  

What Does It Take to be a Quality Assurance Tech I at Dawn Foods?   

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job 

• Knowledge of process quality control 
• Proficient with record maintenance 
• Proficient in math 
• Computer skills required 
• Must be able to handle several tasks at one time and correctly prioritize conflicting, time-sensitive tasks 
• Ability to work overtime without prior notice 
• Self-starter and able to initiate actionable items when necessary 
• Ability to focus on tasks at hand 
• Bakery experience helpful 

 

What will you do as a Quality Assurance Tech I at Dawn Foods?  

• Assure that all products produced meet the product specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirements 
• Obtain samples and test daily, all finished products for compliance to the product specifications and record all results 
• Audit and monitor the compliance with the GMP standards and record and report all deviations to the Quality Assurance Manager 
• Be a resource to production team members on International Food Standard (IFS), food safety and quality issues 
• Tag non-standard batches assuring the product does not leave the plant and report this product to management 
• Test incoming raw materials 
• Coordinate and make product samples as requested by Quality or other Plant Leadership 
• Maintain Quality Assurance (QA) records as requested by the Quality Manager 
• Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Lead Person
