What you will do: As a Jr. Software Developer, you’ll be an essential part of our engineering team. You’ll contribute to the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions, primarily within the Mendix platform. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business stakeholders, and senior developers, to deliver scalable, maintainable, and robust applications.This is a unique opportunity to not only deepen your Mendix expertise but also expand your technical skills by working with cutting-edge technologies such as AWS, Node.js, Java, and more.

Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop Mendix applications.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and user story refinement to coding, testing, and deployment.
Work closely with your Team Lead or Engineering Manager to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance.
Actively participate in daily standups and sprint planning, refining user stories and turning them into high-quality, scalable solutions.
Partner with product teams, business stakeholders, and fellow developers to ensure that the solutions delivered meet business needs and align with the technical roadmap.
Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and improving the performance of existing applications.
Explore and contribute to projects outside of Mendix as needed, working with technologies such as AWS, Node.js, Java, and microservices.

How you will grab our attention:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience from coding bootcamps or certifications).
0-2 years of software development experience.
0-2 years of experience working with the Mendix platform.
Mendix Academy Rapid Developer certification or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Bonus Points for:
Experience with Java, Node.js, React.
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Knowledge of event-driven systems like Kafka.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
