We provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.</p><p><strong>The Statistics and Data Directorate</strong></p><p>The Statistics and Data Directorate (SDD) (www.oecd.org/sdd) provides statistics and data on a comparable basis and from a variety of sources to analysts, policy makers and members of civil society. SDD also develops new metrics and innovative digital tools to address emerging policy issues, leads the development of international statistical standards, advances statistical methodology and co-ordinates statistical and data-related activities within the Organisation and with other international agencies.</p><p>Within SDD, the Smart Data Practices and Solutions division (SDPS) provides digital solutions and implements appropriate practices to support OECD data producers and analysts in their activities throughout the full data cycle, according to the OECD Smart Data strategy. The Division is also active in several international initiatives, such as the SDMX standard development, and leads the Statistical Information Systems Collaboration Community (SIS-CC), a reference open-source community for official statistics, delivering concrete digital solutions through co-investment and co-innovation with currently 16 other partners, such as Eurostat.</p><p><strong>THE POSITION</strong></p><p>The Statistics and Data Directorate is seeking to recruit a Data Platform Development Team Lead to work in the Smart Data Solutions unit to lead a distributed team of developers who are building smart data solutions for the OECD and the SIS-CC, with a special focus on innovation, cutting-edge technologies and agile DevSecOps processes for the development of optimised, maintainable and secure statistics and data solutions. An important part of this work will include the open source .Stat Suite, a platform aimed at progressively covering the full data lifecycle and supporting various data management use cases in the official statistics context, in line with the SIS-CC strategy.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Development and Technical Expertise</strong></p><ul><li>Review functional specifications, analyse, document, develop, test, deploy and maintain optimised, maintainable, secure, open-source and closed-source statistics and data solutions.</li><li>Lead Agile DevSecOps processes in a distributed team; animate or participate in team meetings, architecture meetings and technical hands-on sessions.</li><li>Provide technical expertise including on technical architecture and design choices, performance analysis and improvement, code quality criteria, and DevOps process improvements.</li><li>Work in close collaboration with other teams to ensure the successful and efficient delivery of solutions.</li><li>Provide advanced solution support and diagnostics, as well as technical community support.</li><li>Communicate on technical architecture and design analysis and findings through reports and presentation to peers.</li></ul><p><strong>Innovation and Continuous Improvement</strong></p><ul><li>Participate actively in the evolution and application of secure development and DevSecOps policies together with associated best practices.</li><li>Contribute to reviewing peers’ technical designs, code and tests.</li><li>Provide regular reporting as required.</li><li>Keep abreast of technological trends and innovations in the areas of Big Data, Data Management, DevOps and related techniques. </li><li>Make informed recommendations on the use and implementation of new solutions and capabilities as appropriate, ensuring that these align with the Organisation’s strategies.</li></ul><p><strong>Team Management</strong></p><ul><li>Manage, coach, motivate and develop a team of distributed developers.</li><li>Provide guidance on effective working methods, processes and communications practices around data platform development.</li><li>Adopt and maintain a user-centric continuous improvement culture that supports a constant pace of innovation.</li><li>Report regularly to the Head of the Smart Data Solutions section on pro
