We are seeking a Software Development & Integration Manager to lead and mature our organization’s automation and development practices. This role will initially focus on managing and mentoring our distributed team of early-career developers, who are skilled in tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerShell, Python, JSON, Node.js, and Active Directory. As the team grows, the vision is to expand its presence into a global footprint, supporting development and integration needs across the organization. The successful candidate will bring industry best practices in software development to establish a robust software development lifecycle (SDLC), define and implement a firm-wide development toolset (e.g., GitHub), and guide the team to deliver high-quality automation and integration solutions. Over time, this individual will also expand their scope to drive the firm’s data strategy and formalize a Data Architect role, aligning new initiatives with an enterprise-wide data and integration roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Manage and mentor a distributed team of early-career developers working on automation and integration initiatives.
- Provide coaching and career development support to team members, helping them grow as software developers.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented team culture.
Software Development Practices
- Establish and implement a firm-wide SDLC methodology that ensures consistency, quality, and scalability of software solutions.
- Define and standardize a development toolset (e.g., GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks) to support collaborative development and version control.
- Promote and enforce software development best practices (e.g., code reviews, documentation, testing, deployment practices).
Integration & Automation Strategy
- Define and drive a strategy and roadmap for development and integration activities firm-wide.
- Partner with stakeholders, business teams, and vendors to design and oversee system integrations, ensuring alignment with the roadmap.
- Guide the development of APIs and automation workflows that connect applications and automate business processes (e.g., onboarding, request tools, data transfer automation).
Path to Data Architecture
- Over time, take on additional responsibilities to drive the firm’s data strategy, ensuring scalability, governance, and security of data assets.
- Develop a strategic data architecture roadmap, aligning it with business goals and future integration needs.
- Formalize a Data Architect role, building on the foundation of strong development and integration practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, integration, or related fields, including leadership experience.
- Proven experience establishing and implementing SDLC methodologies and development toolsets (e.g., GitHub, CI/CD, automated testing frameworks).
- Strong experience in software development best practices (code quality, peer reviews, branching strategies, deployment automation).
- Hands-on expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerShell, Python, JSON, Node.js, and related technologies for automation and integration.
- Experience working with APIs and associated technologies (REST, GraphQL, SOAP, Webhooks) to connect and integrate systems.
- Understanding of Active Directory and enterprise application integration patterns.
- Demonstrated success managing distributed and global development teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor early-career developers and grow high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Logic Apps and Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with enterprise integration architecture and system design.
- Exposure to data architecture, data modeling, and database design.
- Knowledge of ETL tools, data pipeline design, and big data/cloud data solutions.
- Familiarity with data governance, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and data strategy concepts.
- Certifications in software development, cloud computing, or data architecture.

Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
