We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 150+ retail store locations in eighteen states, supported by our corporate offices (in Mount Airy, NC, and Cobden, IL), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities.
Job Summary:
The Supervisor, Warehouse position is located at the Leonard Mt. Airy, NC Manufacturing Plant, with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for leading and overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, team leadership, safety compliance, and process improvement, to ensure efficient and effective operations for shed buildings and truck accessories at Leonard. This position reports directly to the General Operations Manager and has up to five direct reports.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises and leads a team of warehouse personnel, including warehouse associates, forklift operators, and material handlers, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Provides guidance, training, and performance feedback to warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Oversees inventory control processes, including receiving, storing, and tracking inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Conducts regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies, and reconcile any inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, including verifying shipment contents, preparing shipping documents, and arranging transportation logistics.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of customer orders, picking, packing, and shipping products according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including proper storage of materials, labeling, and aisle marking.
- Implements and enforces warehouse safety policies and procedures, conducts regular safety inspections, and addresses any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including logistics, sales, and production, to streamline processes and enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in warehouse operations, such as implementing lean principles, optimizing layout and workflow, and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS).
Pay: $46,000-$48,000 per year

Competencies (skills, knowledge, and abilities):
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, and logistics principles, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory tracking software.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams to achieve operational goals.
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
