Job Summary:

This position reports to the director of the data science institute, and the position will be primary support for graduate student population coordination.

Job Responsibilities: 

• This position is responsible for coordinating departmental needs.

• Address the walk-in student needs during rush days/hours, guide them to the proper departments for the accurate information.

• Connects with prospective both domestic and international students before arrival to the US to address their questions. Supports recruitment activities.

• Helping with organizing events, being present in the student events, seminars, webinars, open houses, and so on.

• Maintenance of networks, hardwares, and softwares for data science labs, and other software products.

• Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and identify network problems on end-users’ computers.

• Support increase of student success by monitoring the progress and analyzing the data.

• Support with term course schedules, assignment of professors

• Additional duties include, but are not limited to, providing information and clarification regarding university academic policies, and building academic advising relationships, and referring students to appropriate campus resources.

Hourly Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour

Qualification Standards:

• Familiarity with data management systems, analysis and reporting.

• Understanding the data, analyzing the reports, and addressing the possible outcomes.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and to using data to close equity gaps and increase inclusion amongst different demographic populations.

• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Education:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science fields, master`s degree is a plus

• Part-time, between 1 pm - 7 pm on campus, Mondays/Wednesdays/Thursdays

Experience: 

• 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
