Job Title: Manager, U.S. Employee Engagement

Location: Cambridge, MA Or Morristown NJ

The Manager, U.S. Employee Engagement is responsible for supporting an internal communication strategy that creates a rich employee experience as we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives. This position is responsible for communicating via U.S. internal communication channels, developing and implementing processes and programs, and fostering internal engagement efforts that reinforce Sanofi’s commitment to patients while building employees’ sense of pride and understanding of their contributions to Sanofi.

This individual will report to the Head of U.S. Employee Engagement and will collaborate with internal business partners to highlight key company news and programs. This position requires a passion for storytelling and strategizing. This individual has experience in various communications disciplines to support the company’s operations and diverse functions. This individual must be a self-starter, proactive, collaborative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative, and must be able to manage multiple projects and platforms simultaneously. This role will be hybrid, 3 days in-office (based out of Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ).
 

About the Job

The Manager, U.S. Employee Engagement is responsible for developing and managing programs focused on enhancing employees’ level of connection/engagement to Sanofi. This individual will report to the Head of U.S. Employee Engagement and support an internal communication strategy that creates a rich employee experience as we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

This position requires a passion for storytelling and strategizing. This individual has experience in various communications disciplines to support the company’s culture and diverse business functions. This individual must be a self-starter, proactive, collaborative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative, and must be able to manage multiple projects and platforms simultaneously. This role will be hybrid, 3 days in-office (based out of Cambridge MA).

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and counsel internal stakeholders from various functions and therapeutic business areas on internal communications needs reaching 13,000+ U.S. employees

  • Responsible for managing corporate U.S. calendar and internal channels, ensuring content is current and accurate; Serve as a community manager for the U.S. internal social platform (currently Viva Engage), creating a cadence of news that excites and informs employees

  • Develop and foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional internal partners (e.g., Business Units, People & Culture, U.S. Site Communications, Culture, Inclusion & Employee Experience, Corporate Social Responsibility, etc.)

  • Partner with employee resource groups to support large US events and develop creative communication plans on heritage months and other milestones

  • Develop, support and execute a robust Corporate Social Responsibility communication plan in the US

  • Exhibit sound judgement and common sense by effectively counseling business partners by listening, understanding and providing credible expertise, relevant insights and transparent feedback

  • Define, communicate, and drive internal communication processes across the U.S. Communications team

  • Develop results and key metrics reports for business partners and internal activations

About You

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required

  • Proven ability to develop effective internal communications across a variety of channels

  • Proven experience in project management

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications and/or a public relations agency

  • 5+ years of writing and editing experience 

  • Strategic and creative experience developing communications assets using a variety of digital platforms (Photoshop, SharePoint, Yammer, Canva, PoliteMail, etc.)

  • Proven ability to develop successful working relationships with a variety of teams, leaders and stakeholders

  • Proven ability to oper
