Job Description
Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Manager (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:
- Manage the Data Protection (DP) Architecture and Engineering team on all global Data Security projects and efforts, including overseeing DP Security Assessments, technology migrations, and M&A activities, and lead the team to provide Level 3 (L3) support to the DP Operations team.
- Manage global data protection professionals supporting Visa’s Global Data Protection Infrastructure and critical services.
- Perform employee performance reviews, review/approve paid time off (PTO), work with employees on career growth and opportunities, and manage training.
- Lead and mentor team on learning new technologies, use cases, and implementations.
- Design, propose, and review new encryption solutions and implementations and provide function and technical support for program, project, and core needs.
- Evaluate current global and technology specific processes to determine process improvement and how to best gain more effectiveness and efficiency.
- Review, update, and create encryption policies, procedures, and technical security requirements in collaboration with the Security Architecture teams.
- Coordinate internal/external industry audits in collaboration with Visa internal teams. Report and implement changes needed for industry compliance.
- Maintain and support multiple DP implementations and technologies.
- Lead and participate in projects to deploy DP application and services.
- Provide asymmetric and symmetric encryption in Applied Cryptography.
- Develop and continue engineering of data protection and cryptographic solutions, including 3rd party products such as Gemalto KeySecure, Voltage Tokenization, Vormetric DSM and Hardware Security Modules using programming languages like Java, C, C++ and .Net.
- Analyze, design, and develop software applications and tools to the given specifications.
- Conduct and facilitate security reviews, threat modelling including deep design reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
- Up to 5% domestic travel is required.
- Position reports to the Employer's Austin, TX office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field and 8 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
- Data at rest, data in transit, and data in memory protections.
- Security protocols or standards including KMIP, PKCS#11, and/or SSL/TLS.
- Cloud Data Protection and Key Management implementations on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Cryptographic APIs and Tools: JCE, Bouncy Castle, OpenSSL, Java Keytool.
- Security Architecture and Design Reviews, Threat Modeling.
- Software Development life cycle of Software Engineering – Requirements, Analysis, Design, Development, and documentation.
- Data Protection and Cryptographic solutions including 3rd party products i.e., Gemalto Key Secure, Voltage tokenization, Vormetric DSM, as well as Hardware Security Modules using programming languages.
- Java, JSP, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, JQuery, VBScript, Ajax, Struts 1.2, Tomcat, Spring, Hibernate, SOAP and Restful Web Services, Junit, Log4j, Jira and Bugzilla
- Configuration Management Process, Change Management Process, and Risk Management in entire SDLC.
- Software development using J2EE technologies and performance tuning and client & server side development.
Additional Information
Worksite: Austin, TX
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements: Up to 5% domestic travel is required.
