About the role

Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have outpatient responsibilities for the care of University of Chicago faculty and trainees (including graduate medical students/residents) and will collaborate with other wellness programs across the university. Appointees will lead and expand the department’s efforts on compassion fatigue and the development of a faculty and staff Wellness Program. These faculty positions will be integral in the ongoing expansion of the program lending expertise and guidance for best practices in alignment with the needs of the Biological Sciences Division and UChicago Medicine. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. We especially welcome applicants familiar with wellness programs. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in General Psychiatry, and 4) have residency training in Adult Psychiatry.
