About the role

Description

The Center of Health and Rehabilitation Research (CoHRR) is seeking a program coordinator to work on the SHARE-CSD project under the supervision of Professor Sudha Arunachalam. SHARE-CSD is an intensive summer experience for undergraduate students who are interested in science and health fields. The program provides a hands-on research experience taking place on the NYU campus in June-July of each year. The incumbent will play a key role in all aspects of the program, including administration and coordination with students during the academic year, and on-site support for students during the summer. Responsibilities include:

·       communicate with constituents across the university, including students, staff, faculty, and administrators

·       update and maintain the program website and the alumni database

·       assist with recruitment of potential student participants and compile student applications

·       coordinate with university offices such as summer housing and financial aid

·       assist in creating the program schedule

·       make travel arrangements for program participants and process travel expense reimbursements

·       onboard student participants and support them as needed.

The position will not include any supervisory responsibilities. This one-year part-time appointment is for 15 hours/week and begins on September 2, 2025.

In general, the job duties for this position require minimal in-person interaction and can be performed remotely >60% of the time. The incumbent is expected to be fully present on-site for six weeks during the summer of 2026, while the SHARE-CSD summer program is underway. 

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly pay range for this position is $30. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Qualifications

At a minimum, candidates must have prior experience with research in Communicative Sciences and Disorders.
