JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:
- Demonstrate stewardship and provide leadership across various marketing services to meet Division strategies and business objectives.
- Deliver project excellence by incorporating best practices in project management (PM) to meet and/or exceed customer needs.
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic suppliers including selection, contract negotiation, relationship management, annual work plans, as well as ongoing assessments and evaluation of performance standards.
- Define, track and evaluate established success metrics / criteria for evaluation of all marketing initiatives that are fielded in the support of Brand objectives across all supplier partners.
- Identify and proactively manage liaison relationship between various internal and external stakeholders, including (but not limited to) Marketing, Retail Sales, HCP Sales, Human Resources, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain, Logistics, internal Creative Agency, external Creative Agencies, supplier partners, etc.
- Subject matter expert in specialized services (competitive environment, technical, industry trends, process & systems) to drive innovation and new thinking into the organization.
- Proactively manage liaison relationship with other Abbott Divisions.
- Lead team of external supplier partner on-site account professionals in support of marketing initiatives/programs across 13+ brands within ANPD.
- Lead the team in supplier/partner interactions and oversee the management of the day-to-day activities for external supply partners on all marketing initiatives to ensure successful delivery against established targets for excellence, timing, and budgetary considerations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Work with team members and supplier partners to bring forth innovative thinking and new ideas to meet Business/Marketing objectives.
- Manage cross-functional project timeline and follow-up with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Proactively identify, monitor & manage project opportunities/issues/risks throughout the project life cycle.
- Work directly with internal/external management team to resolve issues that impact completion of project/initiative objectives.
- Drive for results and timely decision-making.
- Maintain documentation and provide data management for initiative deliverables; identify communication plans for knowledge sharing across all internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the team in expertise across all Supply Chain system needs, including SAP, ECC/SRM, and delegation of purchasing authority.
- Act as lead resource to all internal/external partners in the navigation of ANPD policies, procedures and regulations that must be adhered to in the performance of all fulfillment related duties.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all ANPD physical inventories in accordance with established inventory and financial policies for responsible business sectors.
- Direct and support team in the management of the revenue-generating Partnership Program to strategically align Partner samples and opportunities with Brand strategy.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Background:
- Demonstrate skills in working and influencing cross-functionally, collaboratively.
- 5+ years’ experience in project leadership roles as well as at least one of the following: 4 years supply chain/inventory management experience; 4 years analysis and reporting experience; or 4 years project management experience.
- Ability to manage, communicate, and coordinate the project management phases of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and completion.
- Possess competency in financial analysis and budget management (e.g., development, tracking, and reporting applications).
- Ability to review, negotiate and establish standard pricing for ANPD approved external suppliers.
- Ability to develop and manage a portfolio of agency partners including development of effective processes, annual goals and performance assessments.
- Strong skills in planning and execution.
- Strong written and oral communication skills w/experience in communicating/presenting to management.
- Strong critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
