GE Vernova’s Onshore Wind business is seeking a highly driven Commercial Excellence & Sales Operations Leader to drive continuous improvement, data driven decision making, and operational rigor across our global Wind Commercial organization. This hybrid role blends sales operations, analytics, and commercial excellence to advance our commercial capabilities, drive Lean processes, and enable sustainable, profitable growth.This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and influence across the commercial organization. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical, operational, organizational, project management, and commercial skills, and demonstrates an entrepreneurial, self starting mindset.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commercial processes, tools, and ways of working across the ITO (Inquiry-to-Order) cycle. Be a leader in Value Stream Mapping and LEAN.
- Support the modernization of Commercial tools through the build-out of the tools roadmap, guide deployments and work to integrate AI into Commercial standard work.
- Lead cross-functional projects and programs that enable commercial and sales operations excellence (e.g., new tool implementation, process harmonization, data quality initiatives). Develop clear project charters, timelines, and success metrics; manage stakeholders and drive accountability to deliver meaningful and measurable business impact.
- Use Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to prioritize and implement improvements that enhance customer experience, responsiveness, and value creation.
- Support and continuously improve core sales operations processes, including pipeline management, forecasting, territory/account planning, and sales reporting.
- Coordinate with regional teams to ensure adoption and sustainment of new processes, tools, and best practices.
- Support projects that align to Commercial organization priorities such as Training, Process simplification, standardization, operating rhythms etc.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with at least 6 years of Commercial and Operational experience.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in commercial excellence, sales operations, commercial operations, or related roles, ideally in an industrial, energy, or complex B2B environment. Strong understanding of commercial processes (e.g., ITO, risk assessment, costing, pricing) and how they link to business performance and customer outcomes.
- Experience with LEAN methodologies and structured problem solving, with a track record of leading continuous improvement projects.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with data, metrics, and KPIs to drive decisions. Demonstrated experience in Tableau development and other data and analytics capabilities an asset. Strong proficiency in Excel mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver on deadlines with high quality.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams, regions and all levels within an organization.
- Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset an asset. Continuously seeking better ways of working, testing ideas, and learning from results
