About the role

Senior Associate, Product Manager (Mobile) - Business Cards & Payments

Do you get excited about deep customer discovery and transforming insights into market-leading mobile products? Do you want to apply your product skills to redefine how small businesses manage their finances? The Capital One Small Business Card team is seeking a Product Manager to own, define, and drive the future of our Business Cards & Payments (BC&P) mobile agenda and elevate the small business experience.

In Business Cards & Payments, we’re on a journey to be the leading business card program. An increasing number of our users primarily interact with our products via the Capital One mobile app, and we are looking for a Product Manager to drive our investment into mobile experiences. The PM in this role will work with partners across Product, Tech, Business, and Design to create seamless, intuitive mobile experiences to help small business customers manage their finances from anywhere.

In this role, you’ll deepen your product competencies:

  • Human Centered: You’ll develop a deep understanding of small business owners' and their employees' mobile behaviors, needs, and pain points. You will transform customer discovery and quantitative data into a compelling, discovery-informed mobile experience roadmap that solves real business problems.

  • Business Focused: You’ll build a clear product strategy to execute against key business outcomes. You will manage the entire product lifecycle, working with partners across Product, Tech, Design, and Business to deliver tangible, measurable value to both the customer and the enterprise.

  • Technology Driven: You’ll collaborate closely with a high-performing engineering team to prioritize, refine, and execute mobile intent across both iOS and Android. You will leverage emerging mobile technologies to develop secure and innovative mobile experiences.

  • Integrated Problem Solving: You’ll solve challenging and interesting problems alongside a highly-motivated cross-discipline team to balance tradeoffs between customer experience, business impact, speed to market, and risk.

  • Transformational Leadership: You’ll champion a product strategy and roadmap to senior stakeholders, constantly elevating your team’s results and influencing product teams across the organization to ensure complementary and cohesive mobile experiences.

We want you if you are:

  • Customer Obsessed: You feel a deep urgency to build solutions that solve real customer problems. You actively seek out and prioritize spending time every week gathering and analyzing customer insights to directly inform your roadmap and prioritization.

  • Experimentally Minded: You ground your decision-making in evidence (qualitative and quantitative) and excel at defining efficient ways to de-risk large deliveries through experimentation (A/B testing, rapid prototyping, etc.).

  • Action Oriented: You have a bias for progress and possess the ability to navigate roadblocks effectively, maintaining focus and momentum in the fast-paced mobile environment. You are comfortable failing fast, learning, and rapidly iterating.

  • A Skilled Communicator & Influencer: You can communicate complex ideas clearly and are able to articulate the importance of investing in the mobile user experience to leaders and stakeholders.

  • Organized: You are able to break large bodies of work into measurable and meaningful chunks; can drive and track multiple work streams at once, including simultaneous iOS and Android development.

  • Strategic: You are comfortable navigating between the big picture of our mobile product vision and the executional realities necessary to create an achievable plan that drives tangible value creation.

  • A Collaborative Team Player: You excel at unifying diverse disciplines (Engineering, Design, Business) around a shared goal and vision, acting as the primary driver of forward momentum.

  • Intellectually Curious: You are not afraid to ask the tough 'why' questions. You are actively interested in emerging mobile operating system updates, device capabilities, security trends, and how they can be leveraged to drive groundbreaking solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • At least 1 year
