Job Description:

A Brief Overview

Responsible for centralized coordination of contingent labor resources for travelers and Internal Resource Pool (IRP) for the organization staffing needs.

What you will do

  • Provides high quality customer service to all department leaders who we support staffing for.
  • Uses timekeeping and vendor management system.
  • Proactively schedules, assists with, and reassigns staff to ensure the most qualified, cost-efficient staff are matched to the current needs, using the knowledge of hospital, nursing, and central staffing office policies and procedures.
  • Communicates directly with patient care leadership through a variety of methods for the purpose if increasing the staff availability and flexibility to meet the needs of the patient care units. Assists with booking available staff to open shifts.
  • Enters accurate scheduling, attendance, and timekeeping information into appropriate scheduling software packages. Runs a variety of reports from different programs to provide an accurate picture of where current resources are assigned.
  • Reports any identified or unresolved problems to appropriate Central Staffing department leadership for additional follow up.
  • Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner, helps identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to patient, physicians, associates, and visitors in the Health System. Discusses patient and hospital information among appropriate personnel in appropriately private places.
  • Posting of opportunities.
  • Vetting out candidate qualifications and supporting documentation.
  • Monitoring for onboarding accuracy.
  • Analysis, identification, and communication of information regarding orders.
  • Communicates both verbally and written with key stakeholders as needed to provide smooth processing of information.
  • Processes onboarding resources in alignment with procurement and human resources processes.
  • Serves as a problem solver and resource person for department in decisions related to procurement process; recommends and assists team with solutions and approaches.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data from multiple sources and prepare statistics to develop recommendations and reports as required.
  • Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of department and hospital policies and procedures; basic knowledge of the specialized field to complete tasks and projects.
  • Participates in interviews.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (preferred)
  • 1-3 years Previous HR experience (preferred)
  • 1-3 years Scheduling and Staffing (preferred)
  • Excellent organization skills to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes in and interruptions.
  • Able to exercise independent judgement to set work priorities, screen and prioritize calls and order appropriately, and to handle administrative details for the procurement of labor.
  • Capable to working in a team or individually
  • Knowledge of contract labor procurement.
  • Confident presence and ability to interact with vendors.
  • Telephone skills and ability to operate equipment such as personal computer, copies, fax machines, and printers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a wide range of staff, professionals, and other hospital personnel, in order to relay and obtain information.
  • Considerable tact and discretion for dealing with sensitive and confidential information, and for daily interactions with high level contacts inside and outside the organization.
  • Prior use of timekeeping and vendor management system.
