The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Developing the next generation Core Orthodontic products and solutions, such as brackets, wires, and/or class correction appliances
- Generating intellectual property through the filing of new patent applications leading to commercialized products
- Driving concepts from development and design to manufacturing for seamless commercialization
- Collaborating with a global, cross-functional team, including dental professionals
- Documenting and effectively communicating methods and results to cross functional laboratory, manufacturing, quality, and business teams
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a STEM related field AND 4 or more years engineering experience
- 2 years of experiences in product development, technology development, and/or research in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- M.S./Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Knowledge of orthodontic products and concepts
- Previous experience in medical device product development and participation on new product introduction teams
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks
Work location:
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties may allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood at least 3 days per week)
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
