The Data Development, Insights & Strategy [DDIS] team is driving a digital-first execution and transformation at Red Hat by leveraging data strategically for our customers, partners, and associates.

 

Within DDIS, the Digital Data Processing [DDP] team is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in data systems development, integration, and automation. The successful candidate will have a track record of strong technical skills with extensive experience in Python programming and in developing and integrating complex data systems to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will blend these technical skills with a strong drive to be innovative & creative, excellent communication and collaboration skills.

 

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing and integration solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Optimize data systems for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.

What you will bring

• Expertise in Python programming and experience with common Python data libraries.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work Hybrid in Boston MA 
• Proficiency in a SQL flavor (CRUD and Analytics) and experience with various database technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience in data pipeline development and data integration projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.

Preferred Qualifications (Rank Order):

• Proficiency with Red Hat OpenShift for developing and managing containerized applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
• Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of machine learning and analytics.

 

 

The salary range for this position is $104,080 - $166,320. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
