Senior Director for Business Unit Finance

What's the role?

As the Business Units Finance Senior Director, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the financial performance of the Company's Business Units via strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting as well as management and performance reporting.  

Being part of Finance Leadership team and directly partnering with C-Level Functional heads, you will gain deep insights into products, solutions, customers’ needs and what is HERE’s approach to generate value to customers. This will allow you to become a strategic finance partner to support decision-making processes.  

This role requires a proactive and analytical individual who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contribute to strategic planning, and drive financial excellence within the business.  

Financial Leadership:  

• Lead and oversee the financial operations of the Business Units, ensuring alignment with overall corporate financial goals.  
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the Chief Finance Officer, C-Level Functional heads. 
• Support the quarterly business review process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to enhance financial performance.  
• Contribute to the annual operating plan, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and financial targets.  

  

Business Partnership:  

• Act as a finance partner to the Business Units, collaborating closely with business leaders to understand their financial needs and challenges.  
• Assist in the development and execution of strategic Product portfolio and Technology initiatives that drive business unit performance.  
• Conduct detailed profitability analyses per product and business unit, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategic adjustments.  
• Work closely with business leaders to optimize product and service offerings based on profitability metrics.  

  

Efficiency and Operational Excellence:  

• Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost optimization.  

• Implement financial processes and controls to ensure efficient and compliant business operations.  
• Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Human Resources, to integrate financial strategies and align business goals.  

 

Who are you?

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance Controlling, Accounting or a related field; MBA or advanced finance degree preferred.  
• 15 years of experience including at least 5 years in a senior financial management role, preferably within an international Technology and or Software company.  
• Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.  
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.  
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Based in the Netherlands and able to commute on a frequent basis to Amsterdam.
