APRN--Specialty Family Psychiatry/Mental Health

Mat-Su Health Services is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in Family Psychiatry/Mental Health to join its psychiatric care team. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing progressive integrated medical, dental and behavioral health care. In the role of APRN you will provide psychiatric assessments, treatment, medication management and monitoring of our clients. In coordination with clients you will develop comprehensive treatment plans with special focus on medications/symptom management components. You may provide clinical supervision of other staff who also participate in the care of the client.

In order to qualify for this position, you will need to have a current Alaska APRN license with Family Psychiatric/Mental Health designation; DEA registration and prescriptive authorities for controlled substances; and ideally at least 3 years of experience serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

Minimum Education and Experience

1. MSN and current Alaska Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license with specialty Family Psychiatric/Mental Health. 
2. Prescriptive qualifications under the Controlled Substances Registration Certificate requirements of the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency. 
3. Three years of experience serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
