Summer Camp Director

Camp Hours:

• Week long sessions (Monday through Friday)
• Half Day AM: 9:30am to 12pm │Half Day PM: 1pm to 3:30pm
• Full Day: 9:30am to 3:30pm (includes lunch at 12pm to 1pm)
• Camper Ages: 6 – 14 (majority attendance is ages 8 to 12)

Qualifications:

• Be at least 21 years of age or older
• Early Childhood Certification (Birth – 3rd Grade) OR Elementary Certification (3 Grade – 6 Grade)
• CPR Certified
• Federal Background Check (less than a year old still valid)
• Preferred 3 or more years of experience in Education and/or Bachelor Degree in Education

Responsibilities:

• Be onsite daily to greet and welcome campers and parents at pick up and drop off
• Be available 30 minutes before and after camp to help with Parents questions, concerns, etc… (ie. 8am to 4pm daily).
• Ensure the Highlands health and safety procedures are being followed daily.
• Manage camp administration, including responding to emails, processing sign up and cancellations, providing the camp counselors and the kitchen with numbers of campers each week, notifying the kitchen and staff of any allergies, processing credit card payments and returns through our Highlands Camp software.
• Camp counselors, Tennis and Golf Teaching professionals will report to the camp director.
• Supervising Camp Counselors to ensure camp policies and procedures are being followed
• Communicating with GM or AGM daily
• Communicate with Tennis and Golf Professionals daily and be aware of the campers daily camp curriculum
• Oversee lunch service to ensure kids are being fed in accordance to any allergies or dietary restrictions.
• Ensure that any prescription medication are being administered at the appropriate time and/or as requested by the parents.
• Manage and supervise before care and after care staff. Before care is available 8am to 9:30am & 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
